    • I have those same memories too Dave though thankfully the smell has long gone. I can remember as a kid, sliding down the sea wall adjacent to the sewer outlet, sitting atop a smooth boulder that was carried up from the beach. Aah, childhood memories.

  1. I know nothing about Seaton Careew, Hartlepool but I do know that I don’t like the idea of or seeing a sewage pipe in such beautiful waters. Where in your blog can I read more about this? You’ve really caught my attention and I’m so curious.

    • Thanks for your comment Kathy. With regard to finding more about Seaton Carew on my blog, I’m afraid that I only post photos and you will find these under the same Catagory. The sewage pipe is no longer in use and hasn’t been for a number of years, wouldn’t be allowed now under strict EU rules.
