Hartlepool Carnival snapshot

The carnival has been coming to the Town Moor, Old Hartlepool, for as long as I can remember. It is an annual affair, usually starts during the last week in July and culminates seven days later with a parade through the streets and the crowning of the carnival princess. The day before the Carnival started I went along with my E1, fitted with a Carl Zeiss 50mm f1.7 to take a few snaps before the crowds arrived.

Notice the elbow patch!

It was a joy using the Planar lens, obviously I had to use stop down metering and focus manually, though that was made easy because of the bright f1.7 lens. Brought back a few nice memories.
