It was probably our best stop, though a lot of other passengers were afraid to venture forth, put off by some adverse reports about being hassled by unsavoury characters and the general run down appearance of the town. We flagged a local taxi down just outside the port and from then on it was just great fun. The taxi looked like it was ready for the scrapyard but the driver was well worth the twenty Euros. I could take up a few pages relating the tour and the banter but suffice to say, we had a good laugh and of course, being used to Arabic type towns and souks, allayed any fears that other folk might have had.
I love all the rich details in the this serene picture. The person under the blanket adds that little detail that alters the otherwise perfect balance. Very nice!
